Монумент открыт в 2010 году. Планировалось, что он простоит несколько недель, а затем будет демонтирован. Но как известно, нет ничего более постоянного, чем временное. Поэтому несколько недель уже давным давно прошли, а памятник все еще на прежнем месте.
Палец установлен на постаменте, и конструкция суммарно достигает 11-и метров в высоту.
Стоимость пямятника оценивается в 2 млн. евро.
